Biking 45 Miles!

Tomorrow or Today depending on which day you read this post I will be riding my bike 45 miles. Registering for the ride has made this journey to ride my bike 100 miles very real.  Since tomorrow will probably be one of my last rides indoors I have decided to Twit about it.
I'm not quite sure how my body is going to react to 45 miles and almost 3 hours on a bike. I'm pretty sure my head is going to be yelling bad words at me, at best. I'm sure there is going to be a lot of, this is crazy, what are you doing to yourself.  By Twitting about it I am going to feel a whole lot more accountable to get the ride done. Especially, if I feel there is any chance that people are logging on to see where I'm at and how it is going.
If your feeling inclined I should be on the bike by 1pm Mountain time Friday the 27th. Check it out and make sure I survive!

good luck, I have my 1hr 40min ride tomm. I am having a hard time keeping my heart rate as high as it should be. I will hopefully be done by 11:30. So I will try and check on you. You should say positive stuff to yourself, like you are awsome look at what you are doing, and I can do this I am strong. You can do it you are strong, that is what I am saying. I am watching you will do awsome.

I am confused... I thought you were already riding further than that? Didn't you do like 60 miles last week? Am I just smoking crack? --Yes, I still say that, although without your family glaring at me the phrase has lost a little luster.--

Start the day off with a pep talk. "How can I be so d$@# beautiful?" Repeat during the ride if necessary. I will check in with you just to shout encouragement to my monitor.

YOU CAN DO IT!!!

How do you Twit on a spin bike? I've really got to learn this Twit stuff. I'm feeling so left out and confused.
Good luck tomorrow!

I agree with willow, just let it all out but in a positive manner.

Since you are on the move... GO KRISSI, GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Question: the first 3 miles just suck all the joy out of you? I hate the first 3... after that, all is well. However, in those first few miles I am not a happy girl at all. Have you experienced the same phenomenon?

Hmmm... nickname...um... I got nothin' at the moment.

I'll keep thinking.

In case you haven't noticed, my kids are napping so I have ample opportunity to check your progress and yell encouragement to you! Oh, I am cleaning the kitchen too... I can't be a total slacker!

Um... how long is is acceptable to stay in one's pjs? Let's say it was ... oh, 12:30 or so.. would that be too long? What if cleaning were taking place while the pjs were being worn, would that make it acceptable?

Apparently, I need to find my way to the shower... the pjs are demanding to be taken off. FIE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oooooh, Spokey and the bandit?? Is that one too long?

No, no... it is Spokey and the bandit. It's funnier that way.

Spoke-tacular!!

I know those are high on the cheese factor, but give me time... I'll come up with something awesome.

Good Job!!! You are almost done. I did not know I should be going up hills. How do you go about this?

Willow said...

Don't do it Heather... Hills are EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stay on blissfully flat ground; your thighs will thank you for it.

It is only five more... you can absolutely do it!!! Look at it this way, if you start and Gosford Hwy and pedel east, five miles will take you to Dewar's. Just go to Dewar's... all will be right with the world once you get there. =)

Mmmmm.... black and tan!!!!! You know, they really are too much for just one person; I would share it with you.

Pedel faster... the ice cream's melting.

Shoot... if you burned 1600 calories, you can have the whole thing.

Nice job! How do you feel?

Are the endorphines making you forget the misery of the first three miles?

Congratulations... YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!
